Emergency Response Integration

In this program, we are developing programs that effectively integrate all levels of nursing into existing emergency and disaster response operations; Before filing for our 501[c][3] status, we have been conducting research regarding the emergency and disaster response system in the USA and the lack of inclusion of the more junior nurses, particularly CNAs and LVNs. We also looked at training for terrorist attack and spent time considering a certificate program through already accredited institutions for increasing the training nurses receive at all levels.

We are currently preparing to have initial meetings with US government officials at the local, state and federal levels to begin the integration process for junior nurses and getting everything ready for that. In addition, we are planning a more advanced first responder course for senior nurses who arrive on site before other agencies arrive that will allow them to coordinate logistics and establish communications before triage operations begin, at least until governmental agencies arrive and take control.

Our future goal for this program is to expand it to cover every city, every region on the planet such that there are qualified nurses [including LVNs and CNAs] who are educated and trained as first responders to emergency and disaster situations and to set up a system whereby they can be contacted when needed.
