In the last year, we have learned that in most cases, once a nurse begins work, there is little time to pursue higher education. We also found there is a growing need for nurses with Masters or Doctorate degrees, both in nursing schools and in the hospitals. Much of this need stems from nurses who are leaving, for whatever reason. To date, we have drafted a plan to address this problem, but still need additional research before we are ready to take action.
