In this program, we are working with others to recruit and sponsor nursing students in areas around the world that face, or are projected to face, severe nursing shortages;
In the past, we put together a plan to model the World Vision sponsorship program to allow student nurses in impoverished areas, developing countries, and areas of severe shortages, to be matched with sponsors who would fund their education. Due to our initial location in southern California, we chose Mexico as our initial outreach country and have been developing more detailed operational and fundraising plans to be ready for the day we gain our tax-exempt status.

We are currently refining our website design plans to allow for the featuring and selection of nursing student candidates, akin to the World Vision model of sponsorship. We have also started locating qualified and accredited nursing colleges in Mexico where the students can live in residence while pursuing a nursing degree. In addition, we are preparing scripts for our fundraisers to match sponsors here in the USA with candidates from our program who live in Mexico. Further, we are preparing to contact Mexican government officials regarding the areas where they have the most urgent needs for nurses within their country. In that respect, we are refining our plans for recruiting trips into Mexico to locate potential nursing students and pre-qualify them with a written test and interview.
This program is being started in Mexico, but what we will learn there and from the administration of the program here in the USA will help us to replicate the program as needed to other countries and regions all over the world. Our end goal as an organization is to end nursing shortages all over the world, and this is one of our most precise methods for doing just that. Each nurse who graduates from our program will be required to serve in their home city for at least two years after graduation and licensing to repay their obligations in entering the program.
